Why meet ?

Meeting or not meeting?

Ever been in a meeting and wonder, why am I here? The answer may be your group did not need to actually meet at all!

It is probably NOT a good a idea to have a meeting when...

  1. ...there is inadequate data or poor preparation
  2. ...something could be communicated more effectively by telephone, e- or snail-mail, or a one-on-one discussion
  3. ...the subject matter is so sensitive that it would compromise its integrity if it were shared with all participants
  4. ...your mind is made up and you already made your decision
  5. ...when the subject would be considered trivial by many of the participants
