Why meet ?
Meeting or not meeting?
Ever been in a meeting and wonder, why am I here? The answer may be your
group did not need to actually meet at all!
It is probably NOT a good a idea to have a meeting when...
- ...there is inadequate data or poor preparation
- ...something could be communicated more effectively by telephone, e- or
snail-mail, or a one-on-one discussion
- ...the subject matter is so sensitive that it would compromise its
integrity if it were shared with all participants
- ...your mind is made up and you already made your decision
- ...when the subject would be considered trivial by many of the
participants
